Dangote Refinery Receives Distillation Component

Dangote refinery has recently took a delivery of its gigantic distillation component, one of the largest in the world.

The ongoing construction of Dangote Refinery covering 2,635 hectares of land at Lekki Free Zone will be completed this year, 2019. It’s meant to refine 650,000 barrels per day, 3 billion cubic of gas. It will generate 200,000Nm3/h of hydrogen and steam to produce sulphur free fuel, 0.69Mt of polypropylene, 0.24 Mt of propane, 33,000t of sulphur and 0.5Mt of carbon black free

The project, estimated to cost $9bn is expected to generate 9,500 direct jobs and 25,000 indirect jobs. As Nigeria has been estimated to hold about 37 billon barrels of proven oil reserves, (second biggest in Africa), the refinery at completion will exponentially increase Nigeria’s refining capacity and help meet her demand for fuels with cost savings.
